Even if you're not going to be making any potions, the Medicinal Use passive (When using potions, resulting effects last 30% longer.) is just too good to pass up.

Especially with our Amphibious passive (Increases swimming speed by 50% and the effectiveness of potions by 15%.), and if you're a Nightblade the Catalyst passive (Increases potion effectiveness by 20%.) is gonna make us incredibly powerful.

I can agree with that. I wonder just how much a decent potion with these perks will heal? This will certainly be useful for those of us with limited healing available, especially for those who will not be carrying a restoration staff.

Afaik, +healing received bonuses currently apply to potions. That means all Argonians specced fully into Quick to Mend will get +6% from potions, including the HoT on those healing potions. This would also go for Rapid Mending (Increases healing received by 1% per piece of Heavy Armor equipped) as well as other class abilities making this a pretty strong ability for us imo.

And this is why I think Argonians can make great tanks even though they seem to have been overlooked on Tamriel Foundry (I can't find the article now but there was one about the roles stating that races like Nords and Orcs make the best tanks)!

With the alchemy bonus to potion healing, our racial bonuses to potion healing and straight up incoming healing, and the heavy armor incoming healing... we will be very easy to heal by our allies and ourselves (potions).

The only thing I wonder about though is if we are at risk of overcharging incoming healing?

Either way I can't wait to tank on my Argonian Dragonknight :D

I don't think incoming healing can be overcharged.

And lol at Nords as the best tanks. All they get is + Armor (practically useless imo) and + health regen (practically useless imo).

Exactly! Both of those are easily overcharged anyways. If I remember correctly the article I mentioned earlier didn't recommend Argonians for any class or role. Such an oversight!

And the racial resistance to poising will make it easier to deal with side-effects.

This has made me think harder about incorporating this into my healer/tank build.

Do not forget this...

SnakebloodRank 1/2/3

Negative potion effects reduced by 50%.

The passives from most of the professions are fairly useless for anything other then crafting those item types. The snake blood alchemy bonus removing negative effects from potions is actually a pretty powerful passive ability that will probably be overlooked by many to get their 14 different attack of "X" variety.

Well, we'll see how this goes. just a few weeks away now. Ill be going back home next week, so when I get back, there will only one week left to wait. :D I can hardly wait. The people claiming this game will fail/suck/go F2P, or saying it is a WOW clone, who haven't played themselves, are very very misinformed.

I think the bonus to Alchemy is the single biggest advantage we have, and it seems highly underrated by the general community. A huge part of the draw of the Nightblade class for me was the ability to stack up my potion efectiveness bonus even more with Catalyst. Of course, prior to the Khajiit nerf, the nightblade theorycrafters were all drooling over their critical damage bonus. Meanwhile I'm silently thinking to myself "meh... I can just make weapon crit potions."

This!!! Every other race gets a bonus to one or two attributes, we get a bonus to whatever we want!

I also think they won't be laughing at our swimming racial when we start busting their bridge blockades by crossing otherwise unpassable rivers and dropping forward camps in their backfield.

Also, if the enemy is about to overwhelm us, we just jump to the nearest lake or river and swim away.

As a Shaman dedicated completely to healing this is probably the first one I'll delve into in depth, with the goal of finding a way to make the most powerful/beneficial potions. One can only hope, for now.

Too bad cooking doesnt have racial styles like armor crafting does or I would do that for a profession. More than likely I will stick with alchemy.
